The brand new Ford Mustang Supercar hit the track today for the first time in anger, with Will Davison pushing the Milwaukee Racing Ford to its limits at Phillip Island today for the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship’s official test test day.
The Two-time Bathurst 1000 winner is chasing race wins this season and believes that the new Ford Mustang Supercar will take him to the next level to battle for the 2019 Supercars Championship.
The official test day at Phillip Island is the only chance Supercars teams have to prepare for the Championship opener in Adelaide in two weeks time and will be a fantastic yardstick for all teams, to measure themselves against all opposition.
Milwaukee Racing and team owner Phil Munday have now joined the Tickford Racing stable as the fourth Mustang to come out of Campbellfield in 2019, another step that Munday believes will allow the team to achieve success this year.
The 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship officially kicks off on Thursday February 28th at the Superloop Adelaide 500.
